Anti-Vandalism Battery Shelter
SafeBox AVAC
A reinforced steel shelter for protecting sensitive railway, telecoms and energy equipment on exposed or high-risk sites.
Designed to replace existing battery shelters, the SafeBox AVAC protects batteries and associated equipment from vandalism, attempted forced entry and external damage. Its reinforced construction, controlled maintenance access and corrosion-resistant finish make it suitable for railway, urban, isolated and exposed technical locations.
Applications
Built for exposed technical sites
Battery shelters and trackside equipment are often installed where access is difficult, exposure is constant and the risk of damage is real. SafeBox AVAC is designed for those conditions.
- Railway signalling systems
- Telecoms and local sensor installations
- Electrical and automated systems
- Battery shelters and associated equipment
- Urban, isolated or exposed technical sites
Construction
Reinforced welded steel construction
The SafeBox AVAC is built around a reinforced welded steel structure for strength, stability and resistance in demanding outdoor environments. It is hot-dip galvanised throughout, with C5M surface treatment for long-term corrosion resistance.
Security
Designed to resist intrusion and sabotage
Every accessible part of the enclosure is designed to reduce forced entry, tampering and sabotage, making the SafeBox AVAC significantly more secure than a standard enclosure.
- 4-point locking system with Ø25 mm hardened steel bars
- No visible external assembly points
- Hidden hinges to prevent forced door removal
- No externally accessible fixings
- Customisable internal opening system, subject to client validation
Installation & maintenance
Fast site integration, practical access
The unit fixes onto concrete slabs, with existing slabs reused or enlarged where site conditions allow. Full front access enables battery replacement without removing the structure.
- Battery replacement without removing the shelter
- Option to position an inverter on a shelf above the batteries
- Retention tray in line with environmental requirements
- Ventilation openings reproduced on doors where required
- Typical installation in approximately 2 hours, subject to site constraints
